[Night-sky jewels]: Milky Way

We are all in it; but how well do you know it? I’m talking about our galaxy: the Milky Way.

The Milky Way is the galaxy that contains our Solar System.

It is named "milky" because the naked eye cannot see the single stars in it, so the visible effect is a white “milky” stripe.
The first to divide the galaxy in a lot of different stars was Galileo Galilei in 1610 with his telescope.

Our galaxy has a spiral form and it is beautiful. When you have some free time left, the magnificence and greatness of such things it’s surely a thing that you want to think about.

We are just a little, little element, almost insignificant in a so very large Universe.
